Fake Tech Resume Gets 60% Response Rate from Recruiters

The list of her accomplishments is absolutely hilarious. The very fact that recruiters bit on it is a damning indictment on them. They collect brands and that's their entire job.

The resume might be fake, but I can definitely see a recruiter falling for it. Overall the resume looks nice, lists strong companies and work history, line items follow the standard "did X using Y to help company to Z" pattern. Although the items go from realistic and maybe slightly humorous (hey being a team coffee maker says you will go above and beyond) to ludicrous (gave all the interns Herpes).

Recruiters look at hundreds or thousands of these in a day. Usually they are not even looking at the resume directly, but some digested form of it. Also the list of tech terms might as well be Sci Fi technobabble outside of the industry. The React Larceny AI sounds crazy to us, but when compared to things like CockroachDB, is it really? If anything is goes to show if you are failing to get interviews with a strong work history, maybe your resume isn't as well written as you thought.

I wonder if the last part on her resume about most Vodka shots would actually fly on a real resume
