I have 10 - 20 hours per week and I'm looking to build experience in tech by working on a project. Direct remuneration is not a priority (unpaid is a possibility). I would be happy to work on open source, or on commercial software. I'd love to chat to companies/other developers and would be happy to prove my skills/potential. I'm familiar with source control, testing and other general software development tools/methods so I'd hope to be up and running quickly.

Looking for freelance/contract Product Design & Design Systems work. ~9years of experience in Product Design & Design Systems. Expert at prototyping and working within Figma! Can start immediately.
Hi, I'm a developer and UX expert with 5 years of experience at an agency, looking for a front end role. I'm passionate about design details and writing maintainable code.
Here's a taste of something I've made: https://thekakkun.github.io/speed-snek/
I'm a mathematics PhD. All of my PhD work was done in Julia. I'm happy to work in any other language. A sample of my Julia code can be found here [1], and more can be shared in a video chat (my collaborators don't want some of my code public yet).
I'm interested in working with a team where my mathematical background could come in handy, but the problems we solve do not need to be math. I'm happy to work on anything.

I have a broad range of experience across the stack, with a lot of my experience focused on designing and building scalable, robust, and maintainable backend systems that deal with a very high volume of data. I also place a lot of emphasis on building automated CI/CD processes that minimize human error in the development process, and allow developers to focus their attention on the task at hand.
At this point in my career, I'm really only looking for Staff level jobs (or equivalent, titles vary across companies), but I'm open to discussing the options if there's a really interesting opportunity.
I'm not currently interested in working on anything involving cryptocurrency or blockchain, and marketing/advertising focused companies would need to be clearly beneficial to every day people, instead of misusing personal data (which I would be uncomfortable with).

I'm "pmarreck" on pretty much all public services (github etc.).
I'm looking for part-time contract or fulltime work as a sysadmin, a DBA, an automated test suite maintainer, a backend web dev, a code reviewer, a technical consultant, a technical project manager, a hybrid manager/developer (I LOVE mentoring/sharing the lessons I've learned), (possibly) technical sales (I've been described as "socially portable" which might lend utility there, I also like getting excited about cool tech and have been told my enthusiasm is contagious, which might lend itself to sales... and I seem to get along well with "sales guy types" as well as everyday geeks), or anything else where you think a long-time bleeding-edge nerd who is now a new dad might be able to assist with.
I have a couple of years of full stack experience and a solid mastery of programming fundamentals. I'm passionate about software and try to develop new skills every day. I would love a chance to contribute to a team in a front-end or full-stack role.

I have a PhD in optimization / operations research. I'm the father of four young children, so I'm looking for flexible/remote part-time work, and/or contract work. I can work up to around 20-30 hours per week.
My specializations revolve around optimization and operations research---essentially, I solve optimization problems. You can give me a real-world problem and I can translate it into a mathematical model that can be solved (often optimally) via integer programming, constraint programming, or various forms of metaheuristics. I could manage my way around new solvers and programming languages if the project required it.
I'm currently working on a column generation-based daily fantasy sports (DFS) solver as a personal project. Taking as input the predictions/requirements of the user, this solver can generate optimal lineups for multi-entry tourneys. It is, as far as I am aware, the only DFS solver that can generate provably optimal sets of lineups for multi-entry DFS tourneys.

I'm a principal-level individual contributor with 14 years of full-stack experience in a wide variety of technologies, languages, and problem spaces.
As a member and founder of a variety of startups, I've worn every hat. This allows me to translate the different languages and perspectives between different departments, allowing me to act as a consensus-builder and communications hub when organizational buy-in is critical.
I've led and developed teams of up to twelve engineers, have many years of experience in a technical product ownership role, and have been fully responsible for the architecture, initial implementation, and ongoing production management and maintenance for systems currently used by millions in the health care space.
These include no-code web builders for forms and whole applications that have saved thousands of developer-hours and millions of dollars, HIPAA-compliant, versioned and fully-auditable data stores, configurable streaming data infrastructure system, and a workflow engine that is responsible for the coordination of a live production application that serves millions.
My main interests outside of tech lie in music, language, biology, and economics, all of which I have experience mixing with my technological skills in various side projects.
I'm available for strategic and architectural consultation, teaching and mentorship, as an individual contributor, and as a senior or director-level engineering manager.
Working in small teams for 7 years. Either on public facing sites, or internal tools to streamline business workflows, mainly in the architecture field, and like to work from start to end on projects : collecting requirements, interviewing with users, keeping an eye on design iterations, building (front/back/middle ground), and maintaining the given tool. I'm curious and like working with people a lot (coordinating with vendors, third-parties, users, etc).
My current tech stack is my current favorite but I'm keen on learning new languages or software design choices.
I would like to be a part of a bigger tech team working on an interesting product. Most projects are private but I can demo them if we feel it could be interesting.

Hey HN. I’m a former Y Combinator backed founder based in London, England. I cofounded a venture-backed delivery startup and was Chief Product Officer (and first hire) at the first modern bank in Iraq. I also built Anon Friendly, the world's first (and most popular) pseudonymous job board.
I love taking ambitious, complex projects, from idea to launch (and beyond). I’m looking for a role in Product Management or (junior) Software Engineering. I thrive in high pressure, high stakes, high uncertainty, environments. I take ownership. I care deeply. If you think I could create value for your organisation in any capacity, get in touch.

Hey HN. I'm a principal engineer, previously worked w/ FullStory building the mobile analytics library from scratch in Rust, Objective C and Java, including a TypeScript-based playback front-end.
I also helped Nickelodeon with their transition from Flash to HTML5 in the iPad days, building cross-platform, web-based games and a high-scale multiplayer WebSockets backend in node.js.
I'm primarily looking for a good, small-to-medium team to work with. I enjoy working on developer-facing tooling (either as a product, or internally to make teams more productive). I'd love to do low-level firmware work on interesting products. Working with JIT/compilers would also be a blast. I enjoy greenfield engineering and research, and I'm happy to tackle any interesting problems in virtually any space (excluding web3/crypto, however).
My preference for work these days is Rust, and the last few months I've been working on a CLI/web interface for my coffee maker:

I design, implement, and operate applications of software technology. I am trained in business, and am passionate about delivering value in the form of deployed, supported, and continuously improving software systems. I am an expert programmer, with a lifetime of experience, driven by genuine passion for Information Technology.
Principal engineer at a billion-dollar e-commerce company. Now a stay-at-home dad. I'm available to take on part-time contract and consulting work while my kids are at school.
I've done full-stack web development, but I'm most comfortable on the backend, building APIs, services, message buses, database systems and the like. My use of PostgreSQL, for example, goes beyond using B-tree indexes for everything. I'm well-suited for data-intensive projects.
I can't do full-time right now, but I could be a good resource for a company looking for some help from a principal level engineer without filling a full-time position. Please email me if you're interested. Thank you.

I'm an ex-Facebook Fullstack developer with over 10 years professional experience, over 5 of those in the payments space. While I do prefer to work in the backend, my mission as a developer is to deliver value to the end customer, which is why I do frontend work too.
My most recent work has been 0-1 products in the startup space; I've built out Ansible's Beam, a crypto to fiat offramp, and Iris's Autopilot, a platform which lets customers benefit from the skills of better active traders.
At Facebook I was on the Ads Data Model Core team. The vast majority of ad definitions are created via copy, paste, & then edit. We had an internal migration of our data model. My biggest project at Facebook was to ensure that copying from the old world & pasting into the new one still worked. This project ensured we didn't lose millions of dollars of advertising revenue.
Former Mozilla, current Matrix, loves learning, teaching and mentoring, thrives in open-source. Most of my career has been devoted to making things safer, faster and simpler for both developers and end-users. I have been a developer, a manager, a researcher and I've enjoyed all of these roles.

Technologies: Experienced product manager, currently at a large US-based corporate firm working as a senior PM for two companies it owns. I'd like to step back away from the corporate feeling. Focused primarily on IDEs and code tooling, with a focus on C++, but I enjoy all kinds of customer-facing product and they don't need to be high-tech: I like understanding customers, solving problems, and making great UIs that are genuinely usable (ones that are not just current, but also genuinely help people get their work done.) I'm no longer a professional programmer (just in my spare time), but I have a long history as a developer before I became a PM and understand development well.
I prefer impactful technology. Currently the tools I manage are relied on by many worldwide, and I've worked before on tools used by scientists that helped drive eco-based political policy or climate change research among more. Dream job would be influencing UX at Apple; otherwise at Firefox (because I love the open web and support non-Chromium engines; I'm posting this from Firefox.) But, if you can forgive listing a dream job at a company that may not be yours in the previous sentence :) I would value any product and company that has a positive influence on the world. If you have a positive impact and culture, I will value your goals and can work very well to help you.

I've grown and run big(-ish) and small companies as CTO and even general manager, though I'm probably best when close to the programmers and code.
Mainly looking for 3-6 month engagements to help out tech managers under pressure, take on interim leadership roles, help grow your team, or get your (legacy) code base in shape for what the business needs.
My approach is to spend a few months of focused time, help you make and train the right hires and then gently move into regular consultations. That's big talk, since I'm just starting out with this consulting business of mine :P But I did do all of the above before as employee or shareholder.
I'm happy to take on-site work in my area or do some traveling, but since almost all the teams I've built were either fully remote or hybrid, that's certainly my strength.
E-mail me for a free consultation if interested.

I am an experienced engineer with a career spanning over a decade, working on a wide variety of commercial and open source projects in different industries.
In the past few years I have worked on real-time drone control and low latency video streaming, embedded linux OS deployment and maintenance, cross-platform mobile and desktop development, and I designed and implemented an encrypted cloud storage system for a company in Europe using the Rust language.
For several years I was the lead developer and maintainer of the OpenHD project[1] where I reorganized and modernized the development and release process, and created a cross platform touchscreen drone controller called QOpenHD[2].
I have real world experience with embedded Linux, Mac, and Windows systems programming (primarily C, C++, and Rust), iOS/iPhone and macOS development (Obj-C, Obj-C++, Swift, Rust FFI), and Windows desktop development (C# .NET/WPF, Rust FFI).
I have also used the Qt framework for several years and have in-depth knowledge of lower level platform-specific rendering and video handling APIs (OpenGL, Linux v4l2/dmabuf, GL texture/buffer sharing).
For personal projects I have designed my own FPGA IP cores, experience which gives me a much better understanding of how the hardware we run our software on actually works in practice.
Currently I am working on an animal safety monitoring system (embedded linux, Qt framework, C++ and Rust languages) designed to detect hazardous conditions and events that could be life threatening for a particular species (such as a baby tortoise flipping over directly under a heat lamp), using a combination of habitat sensors, thermal imaging, and computer vision. It integrates with common commercial streaming and notification systems such as the YouTube Live streaming platform, Twilio SMS notifications, and Apple HomeKit.

Bio: My name is Trent, and I am a marketing technology executive who made a name for himself nearly 20-years ago by live-blogging Steve Jobs keynotes on a hacked mobile phone. I have successfully bootstrapped a startup to over $1M+ in revenue which I sold for a successful exit. I am data driven strategist with experience in marketing, product marketing, branding, product management/development, remote team management (10+ years), business development, and developer relations. Managed up to 10+ people before.
I have made an impact on multiple open source projects, crypto, DeFi, NFTs, team chat, cloud computing, SaaS automation, remote work, WordPress, podcasting, public speaking, and content creation. Former host of the Hackernoon Podcast.
I'm not very good on explaining my past job since it's a very niche task in my own country, but the last few projects I had tackled around monitoring and data acquisition for many industrial-grade equipments with either open (Modbus) or proprietary protocol.

25+ years as a software architect and entrepreneur. Jack of all trades. Delivered content and technology to 250 million people in the last 12 years.
Hello, I have more than ten years of dev experience (on Hacker News since 2013) in a variety of roles and am actively seeking work that utilizes my skills in Python (including numpy, pandas, and scikit-learn), JavaScript, HTML5, SQL, Git, Flutter, and Linux devops, cloud platforms like AWS, and AI. I am highly analytical and skilled in applying algorithms to solve complex problems.
One of the specific projects I'm proud of is when I was team lead over a Machine Learning project for Google, where the fifteen team members I oversaw provided human judgment helping train ML. This got me even more interested in the possibilities of ML as well as showed me its training requirements. Since then I've gotten more and more into ML/AI, and this year I've also become proficient in prompt engineering[1].
I am interested in any industry where you are working on interesting problems that can improve people's lives, especially using web development, data analysis, machine learning / artificial intelligence, and cloud computing. If you are part of a team where I can continue to learn and grow, please reach out to me about any opportunity. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am seeking a position as a mid or senior-level front-end engineer. I have 8+ years of experience working at various levels of responsibility as a front-end developer throughout my career. My previous work was as the creator of a thorough visualization of MMA matchups (https://mmabetsharp.com). The work encompassed a large breadth of skills including core front-end work, design, visualization, scraping, data structuring, as well as social media engagement via public discourse and other various channels. I consider myself a generalist in the front-end space. I have a good knowledge of web technology fundamentals, but I also rather appreciate the higher level tools brought in by the React-era.
I have experience in ecommerce, both as a developer and administrator. I have worked on the development of inventory management tools for online clothing retailers. I have also used the Shopify platform to create a portal to sell woodworking products.
I have enough maturity as a developer to balance the cost of writing maintainable software with the need to write effective software quickly. I understand software is inherently complex, and if neglected, tends to devolve into something very difficult. I also understand businesses and companies, especially smaller ones, operate with limited resources, and that the ability to drive a product forwards can be essential.
I've been thinking about... The nature of complexity in software. How can we apply functional programming concepts to a domain that is largely event-driven and mobilized by effects? How can we reduce excessive "wiring" between components and increase modularity? How can we create a level of abstraction over system components that ensures logical consistency while avoiding excessive overhead? How do we balance the need for "correctness" (typing, tests, refactoring, experimentation) with the need to deliver a product within limited time and resource constraints?
Aside, I also have some experience with physical goods, having created and operated a small woodworking company for 3 years. During the time I received unsolicited praise for the top quality of my work. I apply the same ethic to my programming work:
https://amazon.com/dp/B07DSP6WSP?ref=myi_title_dp#customerRe...
I describe myself as... Easygoing, reliable, flexible, adaptable, and a clear communicator.

I have spent the last 1.5 years or so working primarily in React JS for a SaaS startup. Prior to that I was more of a full stack person and contributed to and designed both front end applications and their backend components. In addition to a background in software engineering I have spent years as both a network engineer and a computer security researcher/tester.
In my personal time I am currently learning how to create AR/VR applications using c# and Unity. Additionally I contribute to an open source/free application at bikehopper.org. Currently integrating a backend I wrote in Kotlin that transforms geoJSON to Garmin Fit files that can be used to provide directions/routes on cycling computers!
I am looking to work with fun and smart people on interesting problems that inspire!
Thanks!

I am an ex-Facebook Software Engineer specialized in moving large data around with a background in networking, flash drives, real time video compression, and scientific computing. I work with open source software stacks and have worn all of the hats associated with the software development life cycle.
I am looking for interesting projects at the lower levels of the software stack. Let me know if you want to build or productize an embedded rust platform, pure rust containers, C/C++/Yocto anything, commercialize 801.11ay, zero copy network drivers (io_uring for networking), or other similar low level infrastructure project. Anything in computational medicine would also be of interest.

I'm Michal, working remotely for more than 11 years. Primarily a full-stack (C#/React) developer, but I've been wearing many hats in my career - from a system architect, through consultant, to a project manager.
I'm experienced in developing custom complete ERP/CRM solutions from ground-up and integrating with various third-party systems for e-commerce and recruitment industries - both solo and as a part of a team. Currently working on a React Native app for a side gig.
After hours I mostly do music.
I'm not interested in working with blockchain/metaverse and would greatly appreciate if there's a salary range available.
Feel free to contact me even if you want to just talk!
Senior engineer at AWS. Pragmatist with relentlessly high standards, and an eye for the smallest of details when needed. Have led projects to success and been instrumental in others. Have been touted as being great to work with.
Spent the last 10 years mostly working with microservices and Go based startups, although I would not recommend microservices to most companies. I can save you a few million dollars if you wonder why.
I'm most passionate about improving DevEx in companies. Things like writing custom ORMs for lesser known/supported databases (see eg. https://github.com/gocassa/gocassa). Mostly worked with startups from $2M-$500M funding range, with the occasional enterprise gig.
Used to run a chicken shop as a hobby project which made me careful of accepting management positions, haha, people are hard. I would love to be a product owner, I mostly designed the https://m3o.com/ product with the CEO recently and implemented the MVP of it. It's open source stuff, check it out https://github.com/m3o
Currently working for a US startup but my contract is ending soon.
Cheers!

I am a senior software engineer with 19+ years experience, across a multitude of industries, languages, stacks. I immensely prefer working with Clojure and have been for the last 8+ years. I have management experience and even owned my own consultancy for 5 years.
Over the last 6 years I built my own algotrading platform, and livestreamed a lot of its development on Twitch.tv. I have over 100 hours of me live coding on VODs that you can watch. Yes, my bot is profitable.
As a consequence of the aforementioned bot, I'm comfy where I'm at currently and after 2 years that's starting to eat at me. The company I'm at is not fully utilizing my skill set, I'm paid in the bottom 25th percentile for my experience level, and I'm worried I'll start to rot if I stay here too much longer.
I'd love to work in the sex-tech industry, or help fight climate change or homelessness. Wouldn't that be nice?

Bio:
Mid-level product manager who spent a bit over 4 years building a language education platform as the only UX/Product/Customer Relations/BizAnalyst, and then spent 6 months in the medical tech world. Currently running a small food delivery company (self-founded, self-funded, all product is made by me) to make ends meet while looking for a fulltime gig.
I am a Game Programmer (and Designer), willing to program systems in general, not games necessarily. I have the usual game programmer skills, such as good knowledge of maths useful for game programming (linear algebra for example), low level optimizations, writing cache-friendly code, profiling, debugging and so on. My wife will soon give birth, and I am unemployed, so I can start immediately.
Currently I have only Brazilian citizenship, but I am attempting to get a Portuguese citizenship too. I am very willing to relocate to Europe (specially Portugal).
Remote is also great.

MSc in Software Engineering, wore multiple hats working in startups as dev, CEO, CTO, launching multiple projects including barcelona's first makerspace 10 years ago, many failed indie-projects, and a couple of decently succesful startups. startups. Worked at the world first stablecoin back in 2014. Published research on Software Development in Startup Companies on IEEE (look it up in Scholar). Took a three years mini-retirement to focus on raising my kids, sports and recharge batteries, now ready to get back.
I'm not desperate for a job so please get in touch only if you need a human being with a wide range of tech/soft/hard skills to help you reach your goals. I'm looking teams tackling meaningful and hard problems, not interested in VCs rat races, simple and honest proposals only.
I am a software engineer transitioning from an aerospace engineering career with over five years of designing solutions in the aerospace industry. Over the last two years, I've worked with multiple languages to develop several projects. Most recently, I built the load testing service Constellation (https://constellation-load-testing.github.io/).
Starting to explore new opportunities after a number of years working in fintech and venture capital. I deployed the first public app on AWS, co-wrote an O'Reilly book on Redis, was the first employee at Techcrunch. I've always been in the intersection of engineering and product, so the right opportunity would take advantage of that. Thanks for your consideration!
About me:
I love automation. Deploying systems and application, from hardware to containers, in an automated, repeatable, and user-friendly way has been the focus of my career for over a decade.
I'm currently an undergraduate student with several years of experience in personal programming projects (mostly full stack) and some other misc projects. Over the summer I worked on machine learning guided optimizations in the LLVM register allocator, and I have some fairly extensive contributions to Alpine Linux over the past two years.
I'm looking for an internship position ideally in the compilers space, but I'd be interested in anything that comes my way.

Hi, I'm Chris.
I'm a hands-on software engineering leader and manager with over 20 years experience who is passionate about creating powerful and usable software that betters the human condition.
I love jump-starting teams and products using the right mix of technology and strategy. I also enjoy incrementally evolving existing platforms to have higher value and be more impactful. I work with co-founders to refine product vision and establish the right technology team and architecture, and also implement a substantial portion of the early product with my own hands.
I'm looking for a foundational, hands-on, engineering leadership role, preferably at an earlier stage company, or in a highly entrepreneurial team inside a larger organization. I'd prefer a full time role but would consider various consulting arrangements for salary and equity.
Check out my resume and website for details of the products I've helped create, but they run the gamut from cancer patient support health tech and genetic testing insurance billing to defense intelligence analyst notebook to proteomics lab science and algorithm development.
If you have an idea for a product or service that can truly benefit people, but need help getting it off the ground, please get in touch.

Like a recent Ask HN: Recommend employers with positive social impact [https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=31518945], I am looking for similar work. I am a European software developer who has lived and worked on four continents. Now it's time to move on and so i am looking to relocate to Africa.

Whether it is through direct contact with clients and users or just by being part of a local community and learning about the reality of living there.
I have more than a decade of experience running a company, doing software development, support and training and mentoring adults and students, as well as working on educational projects, and i am willing to take on a mixture of roles as needed to support a project.

SEEKING WORK | Contract / Part-Time / On-Demand | Remote | Trouble Shooter / Researcher / Polyglot Developer
Hi, I'm Onno,
As an ICT professional for nearly 40 years, I've analysed datasets with billions of rows, investigated code libraries with 300,000 lines of code, built websites that handled 4 million hits in four days, set-up satellite ground stations in outback Australia, built mapping tools, tracked vehicles and bicycles via GPS, reverse engineered software and hardware, built solutions to scan thousands of bar-codes, tracked livestock, trained staff, written hundreds of technical articles and developed code in dozens of languages on as many platforms, interviewed hundreds of people, produced and presented hundreds of live radio programmes, presented on stage and I've run a consulting company for two decades.
I've been an award winning team leader, have travelled, speak English and Dutch and I'm always curious. I'm a polyglot programmer, prefer Open Source, am an active radio amateur and podcaster and love to troubleshoot, solve problems and discover and document how things work.
I work remotely from my home-office in Perth, Western Australia, UTC+8.
If you have a complex problem to solve, get in touch!

Resume: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zurlRrR --
Senior full-stack dev (lean more towards devops->backend than backend->frontend, but I can still sling some React components together and reduce your JS payload size). Lately I've been loving Stimulus Reflex and playing with a lot of micropython/ESP32/IoT stuff.
I excel at figuring out how to solve problems at all levels of abstraction (including what level of abstraction you should use), getting a solution in place, and then figuring out the feedback loops to iterate on that solution. I'm the senior engineer that knows that most coding is coming to an understanding of what problem you are trying to solve. Sometimes the most impactful code is the code you don't write.
Trying to change the world, still parsing the source code. I've been programming on the web since 1995, had a first career as a social worker and policy statistician, and have worked full-time as a programmer for almost a decade now.
Especially enjoy API and system design, integrating with crappy systems, user research, and really weird bugs. Make a decent PM in a pinch, but would prefer you have great PMs.
Will give you more looks if you can tell me why what you are doing makes the world better, but you've got to really believe it in your heart.
Hi,
I'm Robin, (Senior) Staff Engineer with 10 years of experience. On the Will Larson staff archetype chart I register mostly as Architect and/or Solver, and I enjoy figuring out what is needed for organisational success. I've most recently worked at CircleCI on the core pipeline orchestration platform as well as config processing. Relevant experiences here include high throughput distributed systems and compilers.
I'm somewhat conversational in Japanese, but by no means business level (yet). Native in German, and can get by in French or Dutch, if need be.
Hi, I have 4+ years of experience as a backend developer and now looking for an async remote job. I mostly work on my organization Core Microservices and making library/wrapper/tooling for other backend engineer to use.
I do communication mostly in teams and google meet for my past and current work. I had experience working with people in UK and India. My manager was from India and Product Manager from UK. I have no timezone issue because we can communicate asynchronously and meeting can be scheduled at the overlapped time.
Hit me up :)
I'm an experienced engineer looking for frontend/js/React work—potentially just a very short-term contract, but would consider longer term employment with the right company.
I spent the early part of my career building products for early stage startups; for the last 7yrs I've almost exclusively built with web technologies (as an independent contractor+entrepreneur) and know the space well. I can learn whatever's needed, communicate well, get along with everyone, good balance of pragmatism and strong technical foundations. I have a long history with UX and product design.
For a good example of recent work (React/webpack/Electron/Typescript/Material-UI)—I spent ~10days building this: https://github.com/westoncb/generation-q
Here is a more serious product I designed and built: https://diskatlas.com/

I've got 10 years experience as a software engineer for both startups and established companies. I've also got extensive experience as a Unix system administrator and a strong background in mathematical and statistical modelling.
I'm looking for role working with interesting technologies for an organisation that has a positive impact on the world.
Good with compilers, optimization, 3d graphics, and low-level. Looking for interesting problems (algorithm-heavy, etc). Please no block-chain.
I am a software engineer specializing in distributed systems. In my previous full-time role I was a critical contributor in launching 2 new ML-powered SaaS products, one of which I wrote ~80% of the code for, and the other of which I did requirements gathering and commissioned on launch day.
I am a productive employee and congenial coworker. Hire me if you need someone to jump into a complex project, rife with unknowns, and put their shoulder to the grind stone and deliver on-time in the face of complex challenges and shifting requirements. I am also a fearless production fire fighter; responding to Pagerduty is genuinely one of my favorite parts of the job, and I am at my best in incident response scenarios.

I'm a consultant for teams working with embedded Android products.
I'm also available for more traditional mobile development projects, but embedded Android is where I find a lot of teams struggle to find resources.
-
I've found that many companies use Android-based hardware hoping to leverage the Android ecosystem's size, but run into roadblocks when people who are more accustomed to mobile development attempt to design for an embedded use case.
I've spent the majority of my career working on high-profile user facing Android products. I'm familiar with the unique challenges in the space, from old/outdated hardware, to reliability concerns, and more.
I'm available for up to 20 hours a week at this time, please reach out to dev@croc.studio
-
And while I am interested in consulting/contracting, if you are currently searching for full-time embedded Android talent consider reaching out. I've found that when there is already a team in place, having someone familiar with the space available to drive high-level architecture can enable some pretty great outcomes without taking on additional headcount.
I'm available for up to 20 hours a week at this time, please reach out to rishunk16@gmail.com

Let's chat about how I can help you with engineering and product management. I have 12 year's experience in networking software and SaaS and a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems degree.
Here's a short sample of things I've done to help tech companies:
* As Vice President overseeing a SaaS product: Led all aspects of the business unit as it grew 21x in MRR, 35x in customers, and 3x in team size
* As a Product Manager: Designed and launched a new pricing model to address objections to our previous licensing scheme, immediately resulting in reactivated customers and reviving doomed sales
* As a Software Development Manager: Created software development schedule options for executive team with clearly defined advantages and disadvantages of each option
* As a Senior Systems Engineer: Made Kubernetes app deployments fast and easy by writing Helm packages
* As a Software Developer: Created a performance-enhancing TCP proxy that improved effective throughput on unstable Internet connections up to 200%
* As an open source contributor to Helm, the Kubernetes package manager: created the community apt package for Debian and host its repository where it gets 200,000 downloads/month
PS very recently I went through a FAANG Software Development Manager interview loop and was offered a position, but had to decline when the offer was changed from a remote position to an onsite position.

If you are looking to do a SOC2 audit and finding it a bit daunting and time consuming to learn and figure out what is needed, I can help you. I’ll get your policies and procedures in order, help you set up your systems and collect and collate the necessary evidence and descriptions you need. I’ll work with you and your team to not only get a clean audit but make SOC2 useful in your daily work, instead of a grudge task.

Position Types: Lead DevOps Engineer, DevOps Manager
Systems engineer doing DevOps for the last 8 years. I have an eclectic background working with small and large stacks. Mostly focusing on CI/CD, cost analysis, SOC2/Compliance and working hands on with developers to solve complex problems. I am interested in a mission driven company looking to develop DevOps methodologies with the potential of building a team.
I'm a current master's student (major in Computer Science and minor in Mathematics) at the University of Minnesota. I have used Agile Scrum for projects before and developed UML and sequence diagrams to describe an automated election program. Machine learning is a strong passion of mine as well. I am an incoming intern at Cisco, where I will work with federated machine learning this spring. My past experience includes testing models on human genetic interaction profiles using data from the Dependency Map Project. In my academic career, I enjoyed taking machine learning courses including computer vision and natural language processing (where I worked with NLTK). I also automated data processing in my TurbineHub internship, where I built a Python solution to retrieve wind farm electricity generation data using the Energy Information Administration’s API. I also automated pulling digital obstacle files from the Federal Aviation Administration using regular expressions.
Currently, I am looking for a summer internship (my graduation date is in December 2023).
I’m a Fullstack Software Engineer who enjoys solving problems and delivering results through code! My most recent work has been with a small start up developing and maintaining software for a parcel shipping platform. I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies such as Amazon DynamoDB and developing customer facing UIs with React all on the Next.JS Framework.
Prior to that I co-developed Sentinel, an open-source, self-hosted, platform as a service. I'm really proud of leading the design of Sentinel's core architecture which provides the flexibility to be deployed in any cloud provider. This involved automating the configuration and provisioning of compute instances with Terraform and Ansible. I also played a significant role in developing Sentinel’s command line interface using the OCLIF framework, as well as designing a RESTful API written in Node.js, and much more!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Hello there! I have 15 years of experience in Level 1 Tech Support/Junior Sysadmin roles with a bit of scattered programming here and there, and I would like to jump ships and land a role as a Junior DevOps/SRE. To skill up on that matter and get on-par with the market, I am currently following a DevOps course online (Nana's DevOps course to mention it) as well as a few other primers courses in the pipeline such as AWS Fundamentals, Python, Golang, etc on LinkedIn Learning. If you are from a company who cares about your employees skill progression (where learning is expected and encouraged), I think I may be a good fit- hit me up! As for a date for a job change, there is an ongoing migration at my current workplace I wanted to complete before jumping ships. Mostly new AD Domain and new fleet of PCs to deploy, then I should be good for a switch. No clue for a date at the time of writing my post, however. Thanks!

Two decades in the industry, variety of experience across eng / devops / cybersecurity. Looking to deepen my management skills (the area where I find the most interest and impact in the past several jobs) with an EM / TLM role.
I have been employed in software development for almost 10 years and have written code for significantly longer. I am a deep specialist in databases and a good generalist in most other areas. I built myself as a T-shaped developer. I have worked databases, back-end, front-end (web and native, mobile and desktop) and testing throughout my time. With databases, I have experience with everything from relational algebra theory (I studied C.J. Date) to database design and normalization to query, procedure and index optimization. Throughout my career, I have developed a systemic viewpoint and an ability to understand how different components of a project and different teams interact together, all in order to walk the path of technical leadership. As a true engineer, I understand the importance of measuring before changing. Also, I am a sociable person and I have a teaching degree and have taught on numerous occasions with excellent results. Currently I am learning Solidity.
Due to my experience, I am currently aiming for a software architect/engineering manager/team lead role, or a role with growth opportunities toward a similar tech leadership position, a position in which I can grow and polish the skills of colleagues. From a tech stack POV, I am most excited by opportunities to work in Rust and opportunities to work on free open-source software. If you are looking to make the world a better place and need an engineer contact me.
