Safari Again Overtakes Edge as Second Most Popular Desktop Browser

According to the article, Internet Explorer is still 0.55% of the browser market. That's a small percentage, but given the size of the market, it represents an awful lot of people! Wow!

It’s sad to see Firefox on the decline :(

The question is how the data is aggregated. If it is serverside via the user agent, then the result should be representative. But if it is some javascript blob that gets blocked by ublock origin or even the integrated firefox blocker, many of the firefox (and its forks) users won't show up.

Perfect thats a statistic I can trust more. (Even though people are starting to avoid cloudflare hosted services, but thats currently a minority)

Note that is desktop and mobile.

From non-Google stats I have access to, I see little use of Firefox Mobile.

Yes - some of that is due to Firefox blocking trackers by default but most of it is real, and it dates back to when Google stepped up their anticompetitive practices like promoting Chrome on every site as more secure or faster, not to mention being very slow to fix issues with their sites like YouTube or Meet which broke or slowed usage for non-Chrome users. Unfortunately regulators haven’t shown much interest in those activities so I’m sure it’ll happen again.

I want to use Firefox but never caught up to the performance of Chrome/ Brave on Mac. Recent browserbench shows 350 and FF half that :( sluggish. They should purely focus on performance instead of new features.

That’s very impressive from a Mac market share perspective. Not every Mac user uses Safari, but every non-mobile Safari user uses a Mac.

I'm one of the few that switched away from Edge - I don't know what happened. It's laggy as shit now.
