Apparently, Sam Altman was president of YC. As long as this keeps happening without any explanation, it's clear where this site's allegiance lies.

I would think this would fall under "Negative stories about HN" under the FAQ and be treated with sensitivity, so I would be really curious for dang to weigh in on this, especially since this has seemed to happen repeatedly.

I noticed this went from the top 10 to disappearing almost completely within a few minutes, without being flagged or anything.

Annie's claims aren't yet substantiated but she should still be able to share her story.

At the moment this looks like random gossip without any substance. It's not even clear whether this is really the person they claim to be. And the accusations are a bit unspecific.

In that form, it seems not appropriate content for this platform. Some professional should research deeper, verify and write some article first to back up the claims.

This seems like a personal and legal matter. It’s probably being removed because the allegations haven’t been properly investigated and HN is only a court of public opinion.

It seems like a lot of people have made up their minds already, one way or another.

Seems incredibly similar to Mythbusters' Adam Savage's allegations, and will likely settle out of court for an undisclosed sum, for the same reasons.

True or not, you aren't going to be able to prove 25+ year old event occurred between minors wuth no other witnesses.
