Most people have a really bad sense of risk. Specifically on the topic of AI, most people don't know how to critique AI scaremongering. Most people have no appreciation of the hidden agendas. Most people aren't keeping track of how AI CEOs dance from apocalyptic but what you gonna do pessimism, and trying to sell people on the end of work/money/disease.
People should see a serious risk of a handful of systemically important valuations collapsing if they have to admit that most of the value they produced last quarter was in improvements to coding harnesses. Most people don't know what that is much less do they know how small is that TAM.
This is the second poll today where I thought to myself, "is this measuring people or the current news media focus"
or perhaps the effectiveness of Big Ai's PR campaign for regulatory capture in this moment
AI will replace all of them soon.
The good news --- a majority thought Trump had the solution to our problems too.
