I've been using google calendar for over 10 years, but since turning 40 I've found the fonts too small.
So I built an opinionated ios calendar app, "big calendar", that suits my needs.
Big fonts, readable (multi-line) events, wide column for today, etc.
Basically it's for people who don't use timed events much.
It shows whatever is in your apple calendar, so google calendars synced to your iphone show up too.
Now I use it every day, and it has pretty much replaced google calendar for me.
- free to use, with a one-off purchase to unlock more
- not open source
- built with claude (max plan 5x) in vscode/xcode
If you find your calendar too small to read, maybe give it a try.
Any feedback is appreciated.
