Show HN: Draw Hola Cloud – A drawing tool for live technical explanations

Why have I built another drawing tool?

There are great diagramming tools widely used across the industry, beautifully crafted, full of details and powerful features. Amazing pieces of art and software for producing elegant documentation.

But when you're explaining an idea live, starting from a blank canvas, you don't want to think about tools, menus, alignment, fonts or formatting. You just want to draw, write and keep the conversation moving.

A few weeks ago, I was about to explain some ideas to my team. I opened a famous whiteboard tool and ended up spending all my time clicking around and choosing between tools and options instead of actually communicating.

That's why I built Draw. That same day.

I've been adding details since that first day but without adding more tools:

- It supports Markdown everywhere (even tables)

- Saved views to focus on specific areas of the canvas

- Emojis autocompletion

- Big icons (if the text does contain only one emoji, it covers all the space)

- Massive icons library with computing abstractions, software and services from AWS, Google, Azure and more

- Connectors can be attached also to the borders (quite useful for sequence diagrams)

- Paste images and text

- Diagram recording

- Several themes

- The "drag to duplicate", including connectors

Here is a self-explanatory drawing that introduces some features: [https://draw.holacloud.app/draw/64fc5ea5-9333-428b-88dd-1c26...](https://draw.holacloud.app/draw/64fc5ea5-9333-428b-88dd-1c26...)

I hope you find it useful to communicate with your team and colleagues.

Happy weekend! Fulldump
