I get a LOT of scam calls every week and cannot reliably block them because they spoof their caller ID. But they CANNOT spoof the call back number they leave on my voicemail.
So I made Numban - You share the voicemail left by scammers, Numban extracts the call back number they left, looks up the carrier or RespOrg, and files an abuse complaint.
Numban checks the number periodically and when it detects that it has been disconnected, it lets you know that you helped kill a number. There's a leaderboard to track reports and kills.
The goal is not just to file abuse reports but to also establish a pattern of organizations that enable these scumbags.
So help out! Install the app (iPhone only for now) and tap "share" next to a scam voicemail. It will transcribe it and ask you to verify the correct number and then we'll file the abuse reports.
Hopefully with enough data we can shut down some of these operations by cutting off the phone number suppliers.
