By the end of 2027, the company aims to deploy over 100,000 charging guns nationwide, with more than 50,000 being Geely Smart Charge units, ensuring coverage across all counties in China.

BYD has partnered with Sinopec, China’s biggest fuel retailer, and is building 20,000 stations per year.

For comparison, China only has ~100k-120k petrol stations. It’s possible all are swapped to EV charging in the next five years at current rates. Deployment rate is limited by charging hardware manufacturing rate.
