I built Maxxmod, a Chrome extension for improving the YouTube experience.
Key features:
- Hide Shorts, comments, and recommendations
- Set default speed and video quality
- Add loop, screenshot, and Picture-in-Picture controls
- Customize thumbnail size
- Mini player while scrolling
- Subscriptions feed in chronological order and list view
- Clean up search results
- 60+ features in total
I did the research, competitive analysis and UI design in Figma. Then I started building it with a small development team, but the project stalled halfway through. Later returned to it and finished it with Codex.
