"The police report concerns an incident that is said to have occurred in a polling station in Malmö on August 26. The case was entered on September 15 and is titled as suspected improper influence on voting.

The case has now also been transferred from the investigation duty team in Malmö to the group for democracy-threatening crime, GDB.

It is a specialized police group that works with crimes directed against or at risk of affecting the democratic system.

According to the police, a preliminary investigation is ongoing, but due to the secrecy of the preliminary investigation, they do not want to disclose more closely what the suspicions are about.

"With regard to this ongoing investigation and applicable secrecy rules, we unfortunately do not have the opportunity to provide further information about the content of the report or the status of the investigation at this stage," writes the former preliminary investigation leader Fredrik Arvidsson through the police press service."
