First off, I find it highly unlikely the Republicans will win the midterms. I fundamentally am opposed to anything that could be interpreted as buying votes.

Trying to buy an election with a promise of illegal payments that nobody expects him to keep is completely on brand. So, sure, if this is the time he slips up and follows through, sure, I’ll take it.
i wonder - is there the option for people to take the 5k and then vote against the politicians supported by big T? how exactly is this buying votes plan supposed to work? Or is it: if win then pay scheme? I'm pretty disconnected from that world of grift and don't care to try and decipher raw orange into applied policy, but i do see an avenue for reverse play.

Many who run startups and businesses who are cash flow positive or do trading don't need the $5k.
But anyone who got laid off and ran out of their savings would need that extra $5k more than others.
