Im curious - what is the history of technologies with uncertain individual benefit, and negative externalities?
Like, they can try and force this through, but if the negative externalities are strong enough.
Have we ever had such negative externalities run up against public opinion.
I’m not trying to make a statement on the level of negative externalities, but if energy prices continue to grow, the job market continues to decline. Forcing this through and not regulating feels fraught if they can’t tie the benefits to day to day life.
