I'm coding directly in production with AI and I'm not looking back

what a terrible idea, have the Ai clean up your CI/CD process into a mature system instead

this is asking for a disaster

Would love to hear more to-the-point thoughts on the ideas described in the post. the common thought of 'we should keep doing what we’ve been doing for decades simply because it feels safer' may not be the best fit anymore. Do you also see the advantages of the approach described in the post?

Looking forward to the followup: "AI deleted all of my production environment and my backups as well, now what?"

none, verification and security is important, more so than ever

also, Ai is not magic dust, it's not fundamentally changing how that delivery level works, rather that level has become more important because agents are unreliable

invest in your infra, locked down prod, flexible dev - this should be easier now with agents

"I'm driving full speed at a wall and not looking back.", ok bro, good luck.

"Testing in prod" used to be a confession. Now it's a pitch deck.

Everyone has a test environment, some folks are lucky enough to have a separate prod environment.
