The Flu Alarm Is Armed – and This Winter, It Gets Graded

The 2026-2027 flu season is coming up. This detects the onset of flu season, on average, about 8 weeks earlier than conventional methods. That's 8 weeks of additional preparation for the medical industry - getting staff hired/scheduled/trained, PPE ordered and ready, and all the other necessary planning. It's estimated that on average, about 6.3k to as many as 52k Americans die from the flu EVERY YEAR. Across the country, that's potentially a lot of lives saved. And for the elderly and vulnerable, it could mean the difference between living to spend another holiday season with the family and having another birthday party with loved ones. This can make a difference. Please share if you know of anyone in the medical industry who can use this free tool.

PS: As a bonus, the tool also detects the strain most likely to dominate for the season. Most vaccines fail to work as expected because of the time necessary to identify, develop, manufacture, and distribute them in time to be available to meet the arrival of the flu season. 8 weeks of additional time and proper identification of the correct strain may potentially increase the efficacy dramatically.
