Show HN: We Turned Codex Into In-browser AI Agent!!

A few months ago, OpenAI open-sourced their incredible CLI coding tool Codex — a project we at AI Republic have loved and used heavily in our own development.

Today, we’re excited to share something more exciting: we’ve transformed Codex into a fully autonomous, privacy-preserving AI agent that runs right inside your browser.

This new in-browser agent can understand your natural-language commands and perform real tasks directly within the web pages you’re already using — no backend, no data leaving your device, just pure local intelligence.

Try it out and see the future of your work automation:https://github.com/The-AI-Republic/browserx

Today OpenAI launched their own chatGPT powered browser. And AI Republic's in browser agent release was a weekend ahead of them! The new openAI's browser is nothing more than an open source chromimum + the webpage DOM tool. You don't really have to install a new browser, a chrome extension can achieve exactly the same goal for turn your current chrome into super AI agent. We are working on open source it so that you have the full control on what can be accessed by the agent, try it out today! https://lnkd.in/gTccJJSg
