As LLM knocking down more domains, theorem proving being the latest, I got curious about how past domains adapted.

Arguably NLP was the first field that was disrupted in 2019. (See this Quanta Magazine article https://www.quantamagazine.org/when-chatgpt-broke-an-entire-field-an-oral-history-20250430/).

How has the field evolved? Especially the humans--did the existing researchers evolve or switch fields? Did new students stop entering the field?
