SWEs was the status that ex-Wall St folks were chasing in the 2010s. Now they are the same ones who are crying about being a SWE and are worshiping AI companies. (Until local models running on MacBooks catch up).
Local AI is the way. It's no surprise they're drying up the hardware market for consumers. I think this is what governments should be focused on, pushing the companies to open source and provide consumer end local AI. I think there is going to be high demand for this, we're still in the beginning.
Because everything is better with monopolies. companies can be trusted.
